The Story:
The fish was caught by Mark Moffat at Clarion Island, February 8, 2008, outside the 6-mile zone.
Mark was put into one of the skiffs from the Red Rooster III with Captain Julio Ochoa.
Julio and Mark were towed away from the Rooster by the fish to be battled. The fish was
brought to color the first time, gaffed with a fly gaff, the gaff hook ripped out and was
straightened by the power of the fish. After another long battle, the fish was brought to
the surface a second time and successfully gaffed. It was brought on board the skiff by
Captain Ochoa and Mark Moffat.
