 Post subject: Hook in leg

Was out bass fishing last night with my boy. Popper bite was just getting going. Caleb hung his popper in a bush and yanked it out. The only problem was he yanked it out of the bush into his leg!

Hook was burried well past the barb, so after a strong shot of Whiskey he took a razor blade and cut a hole in his leg so he could pull through the other side and past the barb, where he cut off the barb and pulled the hook back out the way it came in. Tough kid.

We did get some nice fish up to 4lbs before that incident!

Haven taken many kids fishing I have got reel good getting hooks out .

Key is push down on the hook and the pull line has to be strong and tight. When you pull it come out so easy. no pain at all.

Thanks Bry,

I saw those after he had cut the hook out. We will try this if it happens again.

How have you been?

Had a nasty hook in the leg on the Conquest a few years back - Ceder Plug got away from me as we stopped on a jig strike and went right in about an inch deep. Bastard hooks........
