How the heck is every one?
I see David has fixed the place up, looks nice Dave!

I even saw a post from Eddie. Hi Ed, long time no see pal.

Last year sucked, the wife's cancer got worse and she passed in September, so I've been dealing with all that stuff.

Looking forward to a better year this year.

Here's a pick of the new boat in the background and the old one in front.

No lack of stuff to do which is good as it keeps me from sitting around felling sorry for my self.

Hey Jan - I am so sorry for your loss and we are glad to have you back.
Eddie moved on to greener pastures since he did not get the audience he needed over here at WCA.

It looks like you do have quite a bit to keep you busy.

Is that a pic of a Pacific Halibut?

Yeah, that's a "Chicken" size Pacific, we have a pretty good fishery for them here. I personally know and have seen several over 100# and there are rumors that even bigger ones have been taken but nobody will fess up.

We get lots of them in the 20-30# range and IMHO they are the best eating. Best place to fish them is on one of the local charter boats like the Celtic, or if you are in your own rig head dye west or a little SW out of the jaws and start fishing in about 180-200' of water out to 350'.

We get them on lures, all sorts of baits including sand dabs and I even catch them on my shrimp flys.

Here's a link to our local Eureka area board to a post and picture of a little lady that banged out a 120# fish on 30# string, my kinda woman.
