Just got this info in the mail. The CA State Dept of Water Resources is not doing a good job of timely notification.

I'm sorry, I don't get it. Restore it to what? It was a desert with an ancient lake that disappeared and only became viable when a levee broke and flooded the area.

If it's gone, it's gone. Throwing money at an ancient disappearing lake that prior to 1905 didn't really exist seems stupid to me.

Seems to me the good people of California have more important issues to concern themselves with than this.
