I have 20' Skipjack that I am restoring and now I have run into a dilema. I have completely re-built a 350 GM engine, no problem there, I need a set of ball gears for the 1972 Sterndrive. I have searched high n low, no luck. I know it's a matter of replacing the entire package, but would like to run this engine. The ball gears in search are the pressed on type. No one here in Hawaii has, I've checked in Fla, NY, CT, Canada and few other areas.
The boat is ready to fish hard, as I did with her in the past, now the new season is coming up and my crew is cranky.
